5 Ingredient Key Lime Pie Recipe From the Family With Love

Easy Key Lime Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-baked graham cracker pie crust homemade or store bought
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp lime zest
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl beat egg yolks with a mixer until thickened and light yellow (about 2-3 minutes)
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk, lime zest, and key lime juice and beat on low until just combined. Do not over mix.
  4. Pour into your pre-baked pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until just set.
  5. Let cool completely before serving and store in fridge. Serve with fresh whipped cream!

Recipe Notes

Please oh please try to use key lime juice. I don’t suggest juicing your own key limes as they are so small and take forever to get enough juice. You can buy bottles of key lime juice in the juice aisle. I always serve my key lime pie cold and it can be garnished with dollops of whipped cream and lime wedges. You can freeze the leftover egg whites and use them for other recipes another time.
